About this tour

See Singapore when it lights up, and eat the way locals do after work.

You start with dinner at Chinatown Complex, the biggest hawker centre in Chinatown. Then you walk along the Singapore River: the old warehouses of Clarke Quay, the bridges, Boat Quay and the Fullerton, with stories of the river that built the city. Next is Satay Street at Lau Pa Sat, where the road closes every evening for smoky satay grills. The night ends at Marina Bay with Spectra, the free light and water show at 9 pm.

What you taste (9 tastings, enough for dinner): • 4 hawker dishes at Chinatown Complex, for example char kway teow, claypot rice, wanton mee or fried carrot cake • Satay with peanut sauce at Lau Pa Sat • 1 more Lau Pa Sat favourite and a local dessert • 2 drinks: sugarcane juice and a kopi, teh or lime juice

Good to know: • Satay Street opens every evening from 7 pm. Spectra plays every night at 8 pm and 9 pm (also 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays); it may not run in bad weather. • Easy walking, about 3 km. The tour runs rain or shine. • Tastings are shared portions. Tell us about allergies or diet needs when you book. • Ugkstour is a Singapore travel agent (licence TA03758N), and your guide is licensed by the Singapore Tourism Board.
