Singapore cruise guide: terminals, transfers and tours
Singapore is one of the busiest cruise ports in Asia, and many cruises start or end here. Whether you are flying in to join your ship, stopping for a day, or flying home after your cruise, here is how to get to the right terminal and make the most of your time, from our licensed local guides.
Two cruise terminals
| Terminal | Where | By car from Changi Airport |
|---|---|---|
| Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore | Marina South, near Gardens by the Bay; most large cruise ships | About 25 to 30 minutes |
| Singapore Cruise Centre (HarbourFront) | HarbourFront Centre, next to VivoCity and the cable car to Sentosa | About 30 to 40 minutes |
Tip: Your cruise ticket or booking documents name the terminal. Check it before you book any transfer, because the two terminals are on opposite sides of the city centre.
Getting to and from your ship
- Private transfer: your driver meets you at Changi arrivals (meet & greet with a name sign for S$10 more), takes your cruise luggage and drives you straight to the terminal. One fixed price per car, also from your hotel or from the ship to the airport. Book the return trip in the same booking.
- Big group of 10 to 40: a minibus or coach takes everyone together with the luggage. Ask us for a quote.
- All our transfers and tours for cruise guests are on one page: cruise transfers and tours.
- Taxi or ride app: easy to find at Changi and at both terminals, but expect queues at the terminal when a big ship lets thousands of guests off at once.
- MRT: HarbourFront station is right next to Singapore Cruise Centre. Marina Bay Cruise Centre is a longer walk from the nearest station, which is hard work with big suitcases.
- Singapore Cruise Terminal Private Transfer: Private car between Changi Airport or your hotel and the cruise terminal (Marina Bay Cruise Centre or HarbourFront), one way. Fixed price per car, with room for your cruise luggage. (cruise terminal transfer, from S$35 per car, one way)
- Group Cruise Transfer by Minibus or Coach (10–40 guests): For cruise groups of 10 to 40: a minibus or coach with a licensed driver between Changi Airport or your hotel and the cruise terminal. Tell us your trip and we send you a price. (group cruise transfer, price by quote)
- Singapore Changi Airport Private Transfer: Private car between Changi Airport and your hotel, one way. Fixed price per car, flight tracking and free waiting. Add meet & greet with a name sign for S$10. (airport transfer, from S$41 per car, one way)
Boarding day: see Singapore on the way to your ship
Flying in on the day your cruise starts? Instead of waiting at the terminal, take a pre-cruise tour: your driver-guide meets you at Changi, keeps your luggage in the car, shows you the Merlion, Marina Bay and Chinatown, and drops you at the terminal in good time for check-in.
- Pre-Cruise Singapore Tour from Changi, with Luggage: Flying in to join your ship? Your driver-guide meets you at Changi, shows you Singapore with your luggage safe in the car, and drops you at the cruise terminal in time for check-in. (4 hours, S$368 per group of up to 4 guests, private car included)
In port for one day
If your ship stops in Singapore for a day, a private shore excursion picks you up at the terminal, shows you the highlights at your pace and brings you back at least one hour before all-aboard time. Tell us your ship and all-aboard time when you book, and we plan the day around it.
- Cruise Shore Excursion: Singapore Highlights by Private Car: Made for cruise guests: your licensed driver-guide meets you at the cruise terminal, shows you Singapore’s highlights and brings you back in good time for your ship. (4 hours, S$368 per group of up to 4 guests, private car included)
After your cruise
Leaving the ship in the morning with a flight in the evening? A post-cruise tour picks you up at the terminal with your luggage, shows you Singapore and drops you at Changi, with time for Jewel and its Rain Vortex waterfall if your flight allows. Staying a few more days? See our 3-day plan.
- Post-Cruise Singapore Tour to Changi, with Luggage: Off the ship with a late flight? Your driver-guide meets you at the cruise terminal, shows you Singapore with your luggage safe in the car, and drops you at Changi Airport. (4 hours, S$368 per group of up to 4 guests, private car included)
Tips for cruise guests
- Plan your flight to land with plenty of time before check-in closes: delays happen, and the ship will not wait.
- Fill in the free SG Arrival Card on the official ICA website or app within 3 days before you arrive in Singapore.
- Ships usually let guests off 1 to 3 hours after docking. Book your pickup at the terminal for after that.
- Keep medicine, documents and a change of clothes in your hand luggage: big suitcases go to your cabin later.
- It is hot and humid all year: plan walks for the morning or evening, and carry water and a small umbrella.
